Side hustle 101 — your guide to making additional income from the comfort of your home.
With the internet growing at the pace that it currently is, we are bombarded with new ideas on how to make additional income on a daily basis. However this information is given to us from millions of sources — some tested and some, untested — in millions of different ways. As a fellow entrepreneur, I am always constantly looking for new ways to make income. Which is one of the main reasons I have decided to start an article series all surrounding the topic of side hustles, which ones work / have worked for me, how long it took to get these projects off the ground, how much capital was needed ( if any capital was needed at all ), which ones were a massive fail … etc ( you get the gist of it).
This is side hustle 101. Your ultimate guide to side hustles, side hustling ( and maybe turning your side hustle into a full time gig ).
Let’s start this series of articles off with the basics.
What is a side hustle ?
A side hustle is an additional employment opportunity outside of a person’s full-time job that provides supplemental income. Unlike a part-time job, a side hustle commonly has more freedom and more control over what a person does, when they do it and how many hours they devote to it. Individuals can typically pursue a side hustle that involves their passions and talents, and some may eventually make their side hustle their primary career.
I will be releasing two weekly articles on side hustles ( on Tuesdays and Fridays ) and would appreciate your input ( whether it’s suggestions on topics to discuss, FAQ on the topic I have discussed …etc ) in order for this series of articles to do what I need it to do for the community of readers looking to make an additional income, we will need to be very interactive with each other.
One last thing that I can tell you about side hustling is that, it is not a matter of talent or brains which determine whether or not you suceed but rather, it is about the level of determination , effort and willingness to learn and adapt that ultimately determines your success.
Many of you may notice that this is my first article in a long while, I was away for the sole purpose of researching, growing and finding ways in which my writing can make a meaningful contribution to my community of readers and ultimately I realised that I can put my experience on paper and use this to help other people grow in different areas of their life and improve their quality of life for the better.
